divergent
I am reading divergent and I love the book so much. The story is so fantastically crazy, it would be like a dream to see stuff like that. The main character in my book is always trying to prove herself, to show them she isn't a "stiff", and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to that easily, especially as young adults such as myself. The book is so incredibly well written that you grow attached to the characters and feel like you're there. Like you want what they want, and understand their feelings like your own. I feel like I am way to invested into my book "divergent" its almost not safe how attached to the book I am. The story is so incredible that words cant even describe how much I love the book so far. I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone, but its so fantastically crazy. This book is so awesome that I never want to put it down, but at the same time I never want to be done reading it.

How are you similar/different to one of the main characters?
We are all faced with many choices in our lives that will play a role in our future. The main character in my book "Divergent" and me are alike in the way that we are starting to have to make some very important decisions that will determine our futures. Beatrice is the main character in Divergent and she goes through these tests and then has to pick what fraction she would like. Her decision must be made with a lot of thought because that's how she will be living for the rest of her life. It is very much the same as how I have to take exams and decide what i would like to do after high school. The difference is I can always change my mind and do something else, but once she chooses their is no going back. Beatrice is what they call a "Divergent" meaning she fits into more than one fraction, rather similar to myself because I love sciences and maths, but I also really enjoy creative writing and having those creative juices flowing. Beatrice is not allowed to share her test results with others, where as with exam marks we always share them and are rewarded after doing well. Even though I can have input from others unlike her, the overall decision must come from our self's. It is scary to think about the choices that we must make, the character in my book would not admit that she was nervous, nor would I. It is just something we all have to do, and it becomes part of who we are.

top 3 places to find ducks
Best places to find ducks:
I will base my criteria on:
1. Excitement
2: Others reactions
3: Explanation of why the duck is there
4: Ability to bond with duck
#3
At the lake.
At the lake is number 3 on my list of the best places to find ducks because they are almost always there! Its like you expect it but its still a lovely surprise when you see a cute little duck come waddling over. Its pretty exciting too because out of all the people on the beach the duck decided to come to you! Unfortunately others reactions aren't very good because no one really cares. Explanation of why the duck is there is also pretty bad because its a beach, the ducks obviously came to have a good time and get food! The ability to bond with the duck is super high though, you can share your food, talk to it, go swim with it, or if theirs lots you can play tag and run right through the middle and watch them all fly away. Its quite a fun game and that's the main reason the lake is number 3 for the best places to find ducks.
#2
The playground.
The playground is number two on my list because if you have no friends and you go to the playground alone and an adorable duck waddles up behind you the excitement level is super high. Everyone loves making friends and its really awesome when you least expect it. I love it when I'm walking around and a little ducky is following me around quacking its little beak. We sing together "F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for you and meee, N is for anywhere and anytime at allll..." So ducks are the best friends ever, and the playground is a great place to go to make some new friends. Others reactions are a little weird, some think its cute that the duck is following someone around, others think its weird when they see a person and a duck as friends, but hey, people need to learn more tolerance. The explanation of why the duck is there is probably the fact that it was lonely too, and looking for a friend. The ability to bond with the duck is wonderful because obviously you were both lonely and in need of a friend, and you've got all day because its not like you have any friends already that's why you went to the park alone in the first place, plus who wouldn't want to hangout with a duck for a day? That's a good day right there.

The bathtub
The bathtub is the best place to find a duck according to my criteria because its such a surprise the excitement you would have its over the moon! Not only would finding a duck in your bathtub be super exciting but it would also be hilarious for when your mom finds it there! So other peoples reactions are super awesome as well! The explanation of why the duck is there...No clue that's part of what makes it so great! How did it get there and why? But who really cares you've got a duck in your tub! Who needs rubber ducks when you can have the real deal right? Being able to bond with a duck that you found in your tub is really easy, you can show him/her your rubber duck collection and make him feel right at home. Also because you found the duck in your house it obviously wants to be apart of your family, therefor you can teach it all kinds of cool tricks because it already loves you. With your very own duck you wont be alone anymore and you wont have to go to the park by yourself because you already have a duck to take with you. That's why finding a duck in your bath is the best place to find a duck.

Coming to Canada
The streets of china were especially crowed today, the hustle and bustle even worse then normal as i try to make my way to the factory for work. Between a bunch of people a spot a white man, I am unsure of why he would be here in this part of China but before I could think of why i had lost him in the crowd. His face just a blur in my mind, with his fancy hat, and nice coat on, he was probably from America, one day I hope I can move to Canada and live a happy life.
Finally making my way into the factory after the struggle of the streets, their was a huddle of men in the corner, confused i walked over. The white man, he was there, telling everyone about a wonderful opportunity for all of us in Canada. Building a railroad, this is a great chance for me to start my life in Canada and I will make lots of money and I will be able to bring my family over after too. It was perfect, the only sad part is I would leave my family, but at least it wouldn't be for long. We were leaving tomorrow, and that made today's work go by a little faster, and a little easier just knowing i wouldn't be stuck here forever.
After an incredibly painful good bye to my family I boarded the boat with the other men. A rush of excitement and anxiety ran threw me, I could't wait to be in Canada. The excitement wore off as I realized how long I would be stuck on the ship. I thought the streets were crowed but nothing was as bad as this, the food was horrible, and it was disgustingly dirty in there, I constantly had to remind myself that it would be worth it, once i got to Canada I would be happy.
The days seemed never ending, i was trying to keep track but eventually it became impossible. Many people around me had become incredibly ill, it scares me to be around them for it can be deathly. I have seen many good men die. Oh how I cannot wait to get off this ship.
I had been dreaming of my arrival in Canada for many many nights, but it was not as I had expected. Yes i was overjoyed to be off the boat, but once we stepped foot on the land many white people were standing there yelling and pointing at us, thought not everyone could understand, I was able to, thought i wouldn't say that was a good thing. They yelled nasty and mean things, telling us to leave and that we weren't wanted here. I was shocked, we were coming to build a railroad for them, clearly they didn't want to build it themselves and that's why they brought yes right?
We arrived at the site shortly after and we were expected to get to work right away. I was partly excited to start my new job, but I was also really tired, but at least I am off the boat now and nothing could be as bad as that.
We worked long hours, many of the men were still sick, they were still expected to work. I had never been so happy to go to bed, we slept in little cabins many of us in each. The night had little chatter as we were all exhausted from the days work, only to do it all again tomorrow. I had to put those thoughts out of my head and focus on the good things. Thinking about my family would help me get through the work tomorrow and they day after, until this cycle was finally over. One day my family will be here with me..One day.
